Built in 1961 and renovated with love, Bliss is a true absolute beachfront escape on the sand at Great Mackerel Beach—where the beach feels like part of the front yard, uniquely combined with spectacular views of Pittwater and the Barrenjoey headland.
The private boat-shed on the sand is much more than a place for kayaks: make lunch, chill the rosé, work-out on the gym equipment, take a Zoom call if you must, then wander straight back into the water and the chilled vibe.

The view from the house is absolutely gorgeous, and the location couldn’t be better. The kids loved having the beach right on the doorstep - and the beach toys were such a thoughtful touch. We loved having our meals on the deck, it was so relaxing. The artwork and the furniture give the place a really fun 60s vibe, too.

We have been partners for over 20 years now and have had adventures all over the globe. We bought an old shack at Great Mackerel beach just after we met and no matter where we were we always looked to Mackerel as our sanctuary and escape. In 2017 we were lucky enough to buy "Bliss" from the Anderson family who built it in 1961. It was almost derelict when we moved into it from our old Mackerel shack and over the last few years years we have restored it with a nod to the 1960's. We now want to share the magic of Mackerel and "Bliss" with you.
