"Bliss" was built in 1961 by the Anderson family and it was the first purpose built beach house on Great Mackerel Beach. Until then Mackerel was all fishing shacks for the local Pittwater fishermen.  The house was built before electricity was connected to Mackerel and the original gas lights have been preserved (for decoration) in the house.

Mrs Anderson came to Mackerel until well into her 90's and she was known as a great gardener - when we bought the house Geoff could see that the garden had "great bones" and its been a labour of love to restore it to its former glory.
