Home Entertainment
In the main lounge we have a Smart TV, a DVD player and a Video player - the remotes are in the basket on the coffee table.
Press the Digital/Analog button on the Smart TV remote and a menu will pop up as follows:
Digital = Free to Air TV from the Antenna on the roof (this is good in all weather conditions)
Analog = no signal
HDM1/ARC = Foxtel
HDM2 = VHS Video Player
Video = DVD Player
Note: In order to play videos, I have installed a converter from the VHS signal to HDM1 – as the videos are quite old starting up can be a little temperamental. If you don’t have sound or picture that old trick of turning the Smart TV on and off usually works! If the screen is saying that there is no signal it may be that the converter behind the TV has lost its power – just look behind the TV to make sure it is plugged in as it needs constant power to translate the videos to the HDMI format.
The videos and DVD’s are in the chest in the bunk room. They are a great standby as during thunderstorms the Foxtel satellite signal can be unreliable and if you are unlucky enough to have a rainy day the bandwidth from the Palm Beach mobile station may not be good enough for Netflix or streaming (as everyone seems to be inside on Netflix!)– this is very rare.
The Apple TV is in the Parent's Retreat - downstairs.
In the Kitchen and Boatshed there are BOSE speakers that you can pair for music.
There is at turntable in the dining room and the vinyl is in the queen room upstairs if you want to explore some music. The vinyl is all a bit retro and is a mix of the Anderson’s (the original owner’s) old records and ours! The turntable can be bluetoothed to the Bose Speaker. Just push the button on the left hand side of the turntable until it flashes blue and turn on the Bose Speaker. The button on the turntable should then go a solid blue - meaning it is connected.
